Hopefully this keeps the the formatting. Guns killed MORE people annually then knives, blunt objects, and other/unknowns together. In fact, the other three categories. 23220 is the number for the total of knife, blunt object and other other/unknown deaths combined. That’s less then half of firearm (26647.5) deaths over a 5 year period. It also accounts for less then half the total related deaths.
In other words there are MORE firearm deaths per year, and per half a decade, then there are deaths by knifes, blunt objects and other/unknown. Yet you’ll hear from pro-gun nuts, “what happens when the shooter has a knife/baseball bat” ? Well, a lot less deaths that’s for sure and yet, gun owners will still care more about protecting their guns then their children.
